If
you have any questions please don't hesitate in contacting
me. Answers to more common questions and queries are shown
below.
I
would prefer not to use a days holiday pay staying at
home while you carry out the work, would you mind if I
wasn't at home during the day?
This
isn't a problem, I can arrive before you leave for work
in the morning or I can collect a spare key a day or so
before I'm due to carry out your work. If you aren't home
when I'm finished I'll leave your invoice and contact
you to arrange payment.
I
need some work done but haven't got the cash at the moment,
do you accept credit cards?
Yes
payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer, debit
and credit cards.
Payments
for debit and credit cards are accepted via PayPal, a
charge of 3.4% is added to cover transaction fees.
What
are your working hours?
Normal
working hours are Monday to Friday between 9am and 6pm.
I'm flexible with working days and times so I'm willing
to work outside of the normal working times if required.
Do
you supply materials or do I need to get them?
I prefer to supply materials as through experience I know
what products are the best, most cost effective and designed
to do the job they were intended for I can also ensure
I have the correct quantities to complete the work. For
example if you would like a floor tiled then the finished
items (the tiles) would be your choice of size/colour
etc so they would be chosen and purchased by you, the
adhesive and grout would be the materials I would supply.
Will
you need a deposit?
For
smaller jobs no, for larger jobs lasting more than a day
a deposit may be required for me to buy the materials.
In most cases I will not request any money until the first
day I arrive for work.
Do
you guarantee your work?
I
offer a minimum of 12 months guarantee against defects
in workmanship. This is for your peace of mind that I
will do the job properly first time, every time.
I cannot guarantee products and materials against defects,
these are usually covered by the manufacturer or retailer
and it will be your responsibility to assert your statutory
rights as a consumer unless they are supplied by me.
Do
you offer regular maintenance visits?
Yes
this is offered to both domestic and commercial clients.
Regular visits for domestic clients might be to mow lawns
and keep hedges neat throughout the summer and clear falling
leaves in the autumn. For commercial clients it would
be to complete "to do" lists compiled between
visits carrying out tasks such as changing light bulbs,
replacing carpet tiles, fixing broken items etc.
